Peter Boyes

Peter Boyes is a senior strategic communications adviser with extensive international experience across healthcare, policy and corporate environments.

He is the author of a recent review into access to innovative medicines in New Zealand, supporting stakeholder discussion on how the health system can evolve to improve access and patient outcomes.

He has advised organisations in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and internationally on complex communications challenges, including public policy issues, stakeholder engagement, reputation management and high-profile issues management.

Peter’s work spans major public health initiatives, healthcare sector engagement and communications programmes addressing issues of significant public interest. He has particular expertise in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, where the intersection of policy, regulation, public perception and patient outcomes requires careful navigation.

He provides senior counsel to organisations facing regulatory scrutiny, evolving policy environments and stakeholder complexity, helping them to develop clear, credible and effective communications strategies.


Experience and affiliations

Peter is a former Northern Division Chairman of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) and has served on its National Executive. He is an Accredited Practitioner (APR) and a member of the UK Medical Journalists’ Association.

He is also an accredited business mentor with Business Mentors New Zealand.
